Drummer

By his intense, honest playing and his love for many kinds of music, he can be found on both pop- and jazz-stage's.  This versatility grew out of his search to the groove. In every musical situation he knows how to find the right groove and feel. That's how he developed to a drummer many musicians like to play with:

The Amsterdam Headliners, Susanne Alt, Patrick Verheij,  Tin men & the telephone, Ruben Hein, Schradinova, Sensual, Giovanca, Glenn Miller Orchestra, Wicked Jazz Sounds, Martien Oster, Lars Dietrich, The Amsterdam Jazz Orchestra, Iman Spaargaren, Myrte Buys, Ferial Karamat Ali, Cleansweep, Sonar 11, Lils Macintosh, Mary Davis Jr en vele anderen.

In the theatres he played with: Thijs Maas, Leine, Kinderen voor Kinderen en Na Ons.

Composer

He was composing ever since he can remember. At first it was only for himselve in his room, but later he began composing for the musicians he played with. For instance there's a song written by him, called Simone, on the CD Nocturne from the Susanne Alt Quartet. And there's a song called 'Another World' on the CD Pretty Eyes by Myrte Buys. This song is also arranged by Ilja Reingoud for bigband and performed by the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw in the Bimhuis for radio broadcast.

Oorlogswinter the Musical started touring in October 2011, with his music (together with Marieke van Diepen). This musical will be touring all big theaters in 2011-2012.

Now he composes for his own projects. One of them, 'Donkersgoed Group', played on the Grolsch International Jazz Festival in 2010, with originals only.

He was the founder of The Amsterdam Headliners, a band he also wrote a lot of music for.

And together with Marieke van Diepen he wrote the music for Modelkind, that will be played in small theaters and schools in 2012. And in 2008 they wrote a music-theatre piece in the open air, called Na Ons, which played 11 times and had 6000 visitors.
